I always do our traditional recipes with one or two new ones thrown in -- usually a dessert and a veggie or salad to play it safe. 

I wanted to try a cranberry cheesecake recipe this year, but have not had much luck with cheesecakes in the past.  This recipe looked simple so I gave it a trial run yesterday.  DH and DS had half of it gone before I had DD tucked into bed.  DH said it was the best dessert I've ever served him in 23 years.  I somehow doubt that, but I'll take the compliment, haha.  I guess it passed the test and will be served this year.
