After many discarded scarves and baby blankets, LOL, i have started working on amigurumi, and i am happy to say i am much more likely to finish them!!

Here is my latest, it is an ant from "Amigurumi Knits", by Hansi Singh. I really love this book!!

I plan on making other creatures, but i am actually taking a "hat break", since it is getting colder i want to make some hats for my family :-)

Thanks for looking!

Hi Jenny! Love the ant, too cute! I can't wait to see what other creatures you make. A hat break is a wonderful thing! I need to have one of those soon!

Thanks! I have also made an earthworm :-) I just this morning started casting on to make a basketball hat for my 3 yo, he loves balls. It is just an orange hat, with brown lines on it (i'll duplicate stitch them on). Then i plan on making a viking hat (with the horns) for my husband, you may have seen the pattern on the net, i cant wait to get into that project!!!

BTW, i love your HSg blinkie, i have a 5.5 yo, and i am homeschooling her (obviously have been since birth), and very anxious about it, as we are unsocialized as well, lol. I am really into the unschooling method, but i am still pretty anxious about the whole decision. good thing my Dh is NOT at all!!!

Sigh. The ant I'd REALLY like to make was the one the Mexican exchange student painted. We'd taught her the song "High Hopes" (... everyone knows an ant cant move a rubber tree plant) and she painted up this very proud, very Aztec-style ant by the tree he toppled. Huge eyes, of course, upright, proud, happy.
