It's 2008 and I'm turning 20. For my 20th birthday I want to change the city I live in, which consists of moving out and finding my own apartment, meeting new people and experiencing new things. I'm absolutely disgusted with the way I'm living and the way the people around me treat each other and themselves. I know this website is filled with people much older than I am and I'm willing to listen. Young people my age often mess up without seeking the know-how of how to do anything e.g. how to budget myself, where do I start. My biggest fear is failing because my family is not supportive of anything lol.
I'm just asking for some tips on how to begin this process, I have an idea but some solid grounds would be a major help.

P.s. I have 5 months, I'm first completing my current semester of school.

I love it! Moving is good for the soul! You will be amazed how different your life looks in a matter of months- new people, opportunities, life wisdom!

Number one tip- follow your intuition, where do you feel is right, your gut, not your parents, friends or where you think you "Should" go.
Go to where you feel excited, happy....not fearful and stressed.

Next, i would say ask your family/friends for their support. Tell them you love them, and that you need them to be there for you. That it means your parents did a good job in helping you find your independence and wanting to pursue your dream.

Finally, have a plan. Do some research and trust yourself.

And remember, come visit us at www.first30days.com. We have lots of tips, advice, folks who are moving to a new city- our top 5 suggestions, 30 days of email tips to get you going.

Have fun and Trust life!!
