Would you send your kid to Hogwarts?
Yes. Harry Potter thrives in this specialized learning environment!
No. Hogwarts students face death and destruction all term long.

I don't have kids, but I have basically raised my younger siblings since they were babies, so I think my opinion is valid.

I would definately send my children Hogwarts. They would get the best magical education in all of Europe, if not the world, and I wouldn't want them to have to pass up on that. From some comments I've read, it seems like people don't understand that there is a war going on. No matter whether or not your child went to Hogwarts, they would still be living in England during the rise of Voldemort. Everywhere would be dangerous. And as for mishaps with backfired potions and quidditch accidents, those seem bad, but when you consider their highly advanced medical pracitces, it all evens out. You wouldn't keep your children out of public school just because of chemistry and football would you?

It's not even so much the death and destruction that bothers me. I want my kids to grow up in a Christian, God-glorifying home. Something that these books and movies definitely do not adhere to. That's why I would never send my kids to Hogwarts. Or let them read these books or watch these movies.

Students and adults, wizards and muggles can all be effected by evil wizards and magical creatures. Therefor, it is better for wizarding parents to have their children educated in defensive magic, in a protected environment, so that they are best able to defend themselves if the need arises. We've all seen how Harry's skills learned at school, along with support from teachers and fellow students, have enabled him to survive attacks. And, as Dumbledore is (was) the most powerful wizard in the world, what better place for your children to be than at his side? Thank goodness for Hogwarts.

Hogwarts administration and faculty is nurturing and largely encourages compassion, bravery, heroism, honesty, morality, loyalty, and devotion. These are great qualities in people.
