this week is a busy one for me,, and I'm having shoulder problems again (very painful) so am trying to get an appointment for some injections. This morning the water heater and tank were cleaned and some parts ordered,, (nothing serious) , that took about 3 hours. While he was here I ironed 12 shirts and my jeans and vacuumed the upstairs. (no wonder the shoulder is painful again,, well it's been like that for about 8 days now,, getting worse. Yesterday we went to the movies with a friend and saw the Julie, Julia, a really fun film that made me want to get home and cook something complicated or throw a dinner party this weekend. (which I did not do, and don't plan to be dumb enough to invite a crowd for dinner... but wanted to, kinda of,, hmmmm what was I thinking... duh) .... if you need to see just an enjoyable film this is the one. After the film we walked over to the pizzeria and gee : had pizza! After that our friend went on home , dh and I stopped for tea and XMAS cookies (yes the famous German lebkuchen/gingerbread is out for sale) at a neat cafe and then came home and took a really long walk... that was my weekend.
Ds will be arriving on Thursday night , leaving Sat early. This is the first time we 3 have been here all together in a few years...(not that I will see ds at all as they fly out the next morning on business up north). Miss C is going to "visit friends" as ds insists on calling it (yes we are all guilt ridden, geez we are not even Catholic LOL). C's vet said they will give her the imperial suite upstairs (which is the glassed in balcony with a view (really).... it's still warm there so that works well. She'll also get dewormed and maybe a spa day (bath and mani/pedi : not that she loves that, it has become her time to show her vampire smile: curl up her nose and show teeth and growl. (actually very scary so better at the vet's then me doing it. LOL) .
Other than that,, Halloween we will be meeting that same friend for dinner (her birthday is halloween).
