1. Did you dress up to hand out treats?

2. How much candy do you have left over?

 My answers:

1. Did you dress up to hand out treats?
No, I didn't. I never do. My mom, though, used to. She'd often dress as a witch (and always with the comment she didn't need much of a costume to look like a witch, LOL!)

2. How much candy do you have left over?
A lot! I don't know if it was the cold, damp weather, the fear of the flu, or just fewer kids going out, but we had only 9 kids come to the door!  Usually we get about 30.  So we have a gallon sized bag of mini candies left over.

1. Did you dress up to hand out treats? Oh, yes, we sure did! I'll post a photo or two later when DH gets back home and can set up my camera for me. I always forget how to get the photos from the camera to my computer. It's really simple to do, I just forget one step that trips me up. I'll write it down this time!

2. How much candy do you have left over? Well, Ann, let me put it this way..."Will someone please get this stuff out of my house?!!!" Ackkk..I am so sick of sugar!! I don't want to look at the left over candy, smell it, or eat anymore of it!! At this point, we have enough left to fill a small sauce pan to judge amount left. After our church's Trunk or Treat, we went over to my DD2's house for a family party. They'd gotten a lot of kiddies come to the door and ran out of candy and my DSonIL was out buying more. We gave them what we had left over to use in the meantime, but we still had quite a bit to take home with us.

When husband gets back home, I'm going to give him one last dip into the candy jug and then it's all going into the trash!!

Glad you posted a Halloween thread for it's hard for me to break away from a FUN holiday and I love Halloween.

Good luck with that left over candy! Hope you can leave them alone better than I can! Mine are going into the trash today!!

I live in a neighborhood of mostly empty nesters of various ages. We're never home for Halloween, but our neighbors tell us that they never get any Trick or Treaters come to their doors. My two DD's live in areas with mostly young families though, and they get lots of kiddies.

Nope, didn't dress up and we had probably 10 pieces of candy left over. The kids started coming around at 7ish and stopped at 8:15. I turned out the lights at 8:40.
