I've been inspired to ask this question after seeing Donna's graphic of a gal and guy dancing , the girl has ankle socks and a pink circle skirt with a poodle skirt on...

Did any of you ever wear ankle socks and a poodle skirt?

(FYI: if any one thinks to say,,, no but my mom or gramma did, please rethink that reply, thank you. )LOL  

i loved it when there was a sock hop so i could wear my poodle skirt & saddle shoes :O) i would wear that outfit at halloween sometimes too.

i love "greaser" music and all that fun! i should have been a teen in that time!

Pat,,,,  me too, I love that look,, and I was about 9 or 10 and my mom made me one, it was just tooo sweet,, we had mom/daughter skirts...   Actually though it was my cousins whom I visited everytime Iheard they had a dance date,, as they'd don their full round skirts (sometimes poodle sometimes other neat things ) and watched them dress and get picked up for their dates.  I had a crush on my cousins bf (to be dh)... 

LOL Suzan.  Actually, you're not that much older than me and Pat is younger than me so . . . . I think I just don't really remember seeing anyone wear them except in movies or at Halloween parties. I guess I didn't pay too much attention to clothing styles back then.
