I personally used CCCS of Atlanta. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! They were great. They were able to get all of my creditors to lower my interest rates - one to a ridiculously low 2%. This was something my creditors would not do for me on my own. I paid one payment to CCCS every month and after 4 years I'm debt free. My credit score is in the good range. I had a few late payments before I joined CCCS and thats why it's a lower than I would like. I did not regret this decision one bit! Hope this helps and good luck.

CCCS is throughout the country and it is best to work with your local organization.  To identify who that may be you can contact your area Better Business Bureau or area United Way.  Both organizations will steer you to the reputable Consumer Credit Counseling Service in your area.

Not sure the phone number for your BBB or United Way?  Open up google.com and type in Better Business Bureau and the name of your county.  Same for United Way.

Hi.  I am thinking of doing the same.  Does CCCS have fees associated with it?  Also, do they work with you if you have a lot of debt?
