Hi, my dh and i filed a chapter 7 back 4 yrs ago almost 5.  Then back last yr I filed a chapter 13 just on my stuff.  Before we did the chapter 7 we had been in DMP through CCCS for a good two or three years.  The problems that were coming in was the fact that we couldn't afford the payments or the CCCS so we reluctantly agreed to file a ch. 13.  Now DH has quite a bit more debt and it is ticking me off.  I was able to get one card since my ch 13 and i take care of it.  He on the other hand has at least 11 different accounts and we can't pay on them at all due to the mortgage, utilities, meds, local collections agencies and on and on.  It is a never ending cycle that is continually happening.  We have been married for 15 yrs and it's always been this way.  The middle of the month we are usually better off but getting to the middle of the month without struggling is awful.  I have been putting people off like crazy and now times up and everyone wants their money.  It's depressing.

We bought Dave Ramsey's book and can't find the letter that you can send to creditors.  We had attended a seminar he had and there was this specific letter that you can send your creditors and it will help you negotiate a deal with them but it's not in his book.

Any advice would be great.

Hi, caffi38! Welcome to the board!

Thank you for sharing your story with us. It sounds like you've really been through a rough patch for a while. I really don't have an answer for you, but at this point your best bet might be to sit down with a financial advisor or debt counselor of some kind and have them help you figure it out. I'm sorry that this keeps happening to you and hopefully someone can help you get to the bottom of the troubles and help you get on the right track. Please feel free to look around, ask questions, and put your input in. Hang in there and please let us know what happens!
Wishing you all the best!
