Do you have anything special that you do for charities around the holidays?

Do you adopt a family? Give a toy to Toys for Tots?  Donate food items to the food bank?

Does the economy affect how you will donate this year?

We do donation and donation projects year round, not just around the holidays.  As for how the economy will effect our giving, nothing has changed.

I run the holiday food drive at work - we collect a bunch of money and food for the local food bank, and then the company donates money as well.  Usually it is a dollar for dollar match, but this year we have extra money to give away since we didn't spend all the money in our employee-giving fund, so it is all going to the food bank.

That's terrific!

Is there something cooking related on your Christmas wish list?
Are you the green police in your home?.
Are the holidays fun or frustrating?
Should grocery bags be taxed?

We donate year round here too

I read an article the other day about how important it is to give esp when things are bad. I can't remember the title or magazine. It was in a dr's office lobby...
