I just counted what's in my container, because I figured that I'd bank it now (it hasn't been emptied since the beginning of April). I'm not totally comfortable with the amount of money that was in there being left at home. So far in July I already have $19.40 added, which I'll be adding to at the end of the month. This brings that total in the container to $64.40.
Somehow, my little Ikea change jar is almost full and it's only the 16th! I think this could be a record month for me. Even with a smaller allowance. I think it's because I used to save up my allowance over the month for one big purchase, like a photography book. Now, I spend it as I go on small purchases and get change along the way.
Yep - that earthquake was a fair way south of where I am. BUT it was strong enough that it was still felt where I live. The tsunami warning was a waste of time - the result was a 17cm wave.
