I don't although I do know the $$$ is dropping because our extremely right-wing financial advisor is gloating about it and talked us into buying some gold shares... I don't LIEK this because I don't like speculating but...

The only gold and silver I(we) own is jewelry (all of it in a safe deposit box in Houston since we went overseas in 1992 and I HAVE to get it out some day if I can ever find the key) and some gold coins in a large archive box in the basement which DH used to collect. And I have no intention to sell any of it at this time...

Yes sometimes I do,, right now I have some gold jewerly that i'm thinking about selling...   so dh is following  along,,,   maybe we will or maybe not  ,,, not sure yet...

I do a little bit. I have just been in Asia where they do pay attention to it and the price of jewerly will fluxuate based upon the price of gold. I was actually more concerned about the exchange rate for the US dollar which is at an all time low and not good. It is almost 1 for 1 for Japanese yen for example. There were articles in the newspaper everyday about the US dollar and our inflation rate. But they have started buying US stocks again which is a good sign.

I don't like speculating that much either, but I do it! LOL  Long years ago, we bought some coins that have been resting in the safe deposit box.  At our age, I'm beginning to think it is time for us to turn them into somewhat worthless paper money.
