We are 20-30 years from retirement, so we aren't planning at that level of detail at this point. Retirement is just too far out to make those sorts of estimates. However, I am very confident that we will have enough to retire on when the time comes - we've been putting 10% of our gross income away every year since I was 24 and my husband was 27, so we've got time on our side. I've also got a big boost in my retirement savings from my company - we put a significant amount of our profits into a managed retirement account for the employees every year. Our target is 10% of each employee's gross anual income, but for the past 7 years, we have put in at least 15%. Even if another cent is never invested into that account, with 2-3 decades to grow, that is a huge boost to retirement savings.
