Thank you. Your reply made my day. I did not think it would fall apart, either, so thank you for acknowledging that. And I am moving on. No contact at all. Just hard to date again at 51. I work in a beauty salon with a 25 year old, and though I try to dress nicely and fix my hair, I might as well not exist for 95% of the men that come in. But I am trying to keep an open mind.

Kata, I have numerous single friends your age who have had success dating via church groups, singles groups and/or Internet. There are men (our) age who prefer a more mature woman. Perhaps they enjoyed the younger 'toy' for a while but are now ready to settle down with a person they have more in common with.

Even with my husband (and we've been married 21 years), I sometimes see an age difference since he's 8 years older than me. Not enough to complain, but my point is, imagine a 51 year old guy dating a woman 15 or 20 years younger than they. What do they have in common, REALLY?

Don't give up and, who knows, perhaps you'll be one of the Cougars on TV! :) Chris
