Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend.

Today's question is . . .

Have you and your SO ever fought about finances?

Not so much anymore.  We've been sharing money now for a little over 4 yrs and I'd say for the first 3 yrs of that about 85% of our fighting was about money.  My mistake was not involving him in the bill paying or updating him on our financial status.  He didnt know what bills we had, when they were due, etc.  He'd get his paystub in the mail once a week, figure he had all this money and then when it came time for him to want to buy something I'd say nope, we're broke.  I've definitely gotten him more involved with stuff.  There no more fighting anymore, it's all discussions.

No - we've never fought about money.  We're both pretty level headed so we know what we can or can't spend.  Thankfully we're on the same page 99.9% of the time.

We do fuss about how expensive things are though - lol.  We're not fussing at each other - just at the situation - like how expensive gas is, etc.

Oh, yeah. DH and I came from complete opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to money. I was the budgeter and penny-pincher; he was a proponent of "instant gratification" and a big-time spender. It's taken a while (about four years), but we have both made concessions and have found a comfortable middle ground that is working well for us. We've learned to work together to solve our financial issues, and haven't fought about money in over a year.

This is one thing i do not have to worry about. Me and the bf do not share finances. I've seen too many friends whine because "he got this or she got this but what did i get". I never see this work for people but i'm glad that some people can make it work. Me and the bf have come to the conclusion that we do not ever want to put our money together because the way we do it works just fine and why fix something that isn't broken. It does help that we make almost the same amount of money because it is fair that split everything downthe middle with the exception of our personal bills.

Like when i bought my $10,000 car, he had no say in how much my monthly payment would be so why would i expect him to pay it. Especially since he drives a $1000 car. That just wouldn't be fair and i don't know how sharing your money would ever be 100% fair.
