I heard there's supposed to be a childhood fitness deduction for 2008.  Supposedly you can deduct things like gymnastics classes and tennis lessons.  Should I be saving my receipts?

Interesting.  I haven't heard of this.  I wonder what the regulations/guidelines will be on this if it is true.  My daughter is in dance and that's sure fitness in my eyes.

Never mind.  It looks like the CHildhood Fitness deduction is off of Canadian taxes, not American ones.

It is a Canadian deduction and it started in 2007.  I was able to deduct all of the kids' dance fees, swimming and skating fees, up to $500 per child.
