What's the first graphic program you ever used to create siggys? Is it still your favorite or have you found another favorite as your exerience grew?

I tried all of them through trial before picking one. I started with Photoshop, and I have stuck with it. I guess you go back to what you start with. It just seems easier than the other ones. I have recently upgraded to PCCS4 but don't use it. I still use CS3, but secretly miss CS2 LOL

Thanks! DD is looking for a few new programs to try out; she started on PSP but wants to fiddle around with others. ;-)

I initially started using Photoshop (PS) and Illustrator (AI) (can't remember what version, but it was in 1999). I stopped using them because I didn't think they were user-friendly, especially Illustrator, for someone knew to using graphics applications. Then I started using Fireworks because it was easier to create vector graphics.

Then I went back to PS/AI a few years ago because of Fireworks' limitations. I currently alternate between PS/AI and Fireworks CS4. Which app I use depends on what I'm wanting to do and how quickly I want to do it.

You'll also have to consider the cost of the apps, whether they're purchased individually or as a package. If you think you'll be using different apps then plucking down the dough for a package would be more cost-effective. I currently have Adobe Web Premium CS4 Upgrade.

I started with PSP 6 many years ago and upgraded as the years passed by.
Two Years I ago started using PSE and last year upgraded to PSCS3.
I now use PSCS3 and dont use PSP.
For Siggies PSE is good and less then PSCS3 in cost.
PSCS alone is enough for Sig.
If you want PS and Indesign or PS and Dreamsweaver then you buy
the suite version with the multiple programs.
