I know it's a very low number but that it is possible to get whatever virus you're trying to prevent with a vaccine by getting that vaccine.

However, I know it "runs in our family" to get that virus from the vaccine, since my mom and me both have that problem.

What I am wondering is if Becca has that problem, how early would it start showing up? She got her shots around 2:45 and it's 6:20...

She got the chickenpox vaccine and she is starting to have little spots everywhere. I wonder if it's the virus or just spots I missed because of her "infection" or whatever from last week.

Any word of advice or wisdom?

It's a common misconception that people can get the virus from the vaccine it's trying to prevent.  You can definitely get symptoms from vaccines that are similar in nature to the flu, but because these vaccines are made with dead, inactive, or weakened parts of the virus, you don't actually get the virus.  She may be having a general reaction to the vaccine.  If it doesn't clear up in a couple days, maybe have her looked at.  Or, as you suggested, it may just be a skin rash from her virus.  What do the spots look like?  How is Becca reacting to them?

I don't think so. I mean I know if it's a dead virus, like the flu and chicken pox shots are , you can get cold like symptons but that's about it. See how she is doing tomorrow and if your still concerned call the doctor. I hope it's nothing though!

Have you called her doctor? I have heard of this happening though none of my boys have had an issue.

I agree with Holly and Jenn that the virus is usually "dead" so you technically cannot get it. However I have a cousin that swears she gets the flu everytime she gets a flu shot so who knows! I saw call the doc if the bumps don't clear up soon! :o)
