20ish Parents

I am not getting anywhere with Olivia's sleeping problem. It just seems to keep getting worse and worse. I have tried everything co sleeping, doing CIO, and even tried rocking her back to sleep. Nothing is working, she just constantly wakes up about 2 to 3 hours after going to sleep and cries and rolls and kicks and is just miserable for about 2 to 3 hours. I really do not know what else to do, my ped said to keep doing the cio method but she just keeps on crying for hours.... If anyone can please help I would greatly appropriate it...

I totally know what you are going through Kelli! My boys are horrible sleepers! They go to bed at 9 and usually one of them is awake within a few hours! The thing that I usually do if they don't cry and go back to sleep with in 10 minutes is make them a 4 oz bottle. And if that doesn't work I rub their heads until they get drowsy again. I wish I had more advice to give but I am still working on this myself! I swear the other night I had to get out of bed about 20 times between the two of them. I hope things get better soon!

Edited to add something else I thought of: Another thing that I do if they just cry and cry is put them in their "Infant to Toddler Rockers" in my room (never in my bed...that is a habit I do not want to start lol) so they know that I am right there. Sometimes that really helps!

Kelli, I know it's frustrating when nothing is working. Is there some kind of outside noise that could be waking her around the same times, like a neighbor's dog being let out for the night? I keep white noise going when they're little, anything from a small fan to a sound machine does the trick to block out sounds from siblings, our dogs, neighbors, etc.  I hope she's sleeping better soon!
