hi, guys!! i have been mia for awhile, i know, but it just seems like i have sooo much to do in a day and not enough time to do it. anyway, i have a problem that im hoping some of you ladies can help me with. my oldest dd has a teddy bear that she absolutely loves. she got it when she was 5 and she sleeps with him every night-if she doesnt have him she cant sleep-she took him to the doctors with her yesterday cuz she thought she was getting a shot...that kind of thing. the problem is he is one of those claw game prizes so hes not the best quality. he already ripped in the legs and my sister sewed him. i noticed yesterday that he was starting to wear through on the front and the back-and his shorts are ripping. i dont think sewing him is going to work this time...i dont want to get rid of him by any means and i dont want to put him up on a shelf somewhere...is there any way i can protect him and perserve him for my dd? thanks!! We have a few of those that have started to wear like that. I generally tend to put them away somewhere when I can but I'd see about maybe getting some type of "bear clothing" to put on him and try to keep it from falling apart as much as you can. Sorry I don't know what else to say. Good luck.
Joanne you can go to Michaels (or other craft stores I'm sure) and buy a shadow box. Its kind of like a frame, but its thicker it looks like a box made of glass. They have different sizes. Hopefully you can get one there that fits Mr. Bear!
