Cooper ended up coming down with a fever last night. It was a really low grade fever, but since it was Friday I decided I better take him to the dr just to be safe. I thought it was kind of silly because his temp hadn't went over 100... But the dr's office thought it best since he's so young and it was Friday. So we headed up to the dr's office and I was fully prepared to come out of there with them saying he was teething since his temp was pretty much between 99.1 and 99.8. The first thing they did when we got in there was take a specimen for the flu test. It came back positive:( Fortunately he hasn't been suffering too bad. He's got a bit of a cough, hoarse throat, runny nose. As I was writing this he ended up throwing up for the first time:(
I'm hoping it doesn't get any worse. He's still in pretty good mood even though he's sick. They did give him tamiflu to take for it. I of course wish I would have gotten our H1N1 shots a week early and maybe prevented this. We got our shots last Monday.
I'm sorry! Myself, my husband and my daughter all just got over H1N1. I would up in the hospital with pneumonia, but the Tamiflu was a miracle drug for the two of them. I hope he recovers quickly!
