I had to title it that way, because I am still 39 but will be 40 in February and our 2nd child is due in late May.

Naturally I am very nervous of how my first tests will come back (I don't even know what tests I will be taking at the hospital next month-the doctor and nurse just kept spewing out all these terms!) However, the doctor does not seem worried in the least bit.

Good to see so many others having babies at this age!

Hello and congratulations! Welcome to the board! Several of us are due in or around May (I'm due May 21). I had our second daughter a month after I turned 40 so I can relate to your story. I hope you'll keep us posted on how you're feeling, etc.. Here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Hi! I have not done a formal introduction of myself, but it is the same as yours. I will be 40 in January and I am 9 weeks pregnant with our second baby (EDD June 7, 2010). Our dd is 14 months old. I agree, it is great to see so many of us, having babies at 40 and above! I look forward to sharing the journey!

Don't worry about the testing just enjoy. I am having more fun enjoying this pregnancy than my first. I turned 39 four days before DS was born and will be 42 a month after this one is due. Even with all the talk of Advanced Maternal Age and testing the percentages are well in our favor. Congratulations and welcome!
