Does it matter what time of day you take the test. I know they suggest the morning, but would it be okay to do it now?

DH is coming home from work with one and I really don't want to wait until tomorrow morning...I am going nuts. My last menstrual cycle was September 4th. Also, I have a lovely, sweet 5 month old...I need to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, needed to vent (and an answer).

Sorry about this ticker...don't know how to turn it off:

Hi-

It's recommended that you test in the morning because that is when your urine is the most concentrated.  The problem with taking it later in the day is that if you drank a lot of liquids then the results could be diluted.  However, if AF is several days late it might not matter.

BTW, you can delete your ticker by going into your "board settings" (look in the pink area at the top left of the board).  The ticker will show up in a box and you can just click on it, delete it, and hit "submit".  Hope that helps.

Good luck!

Hopefully he'll bring home a 2 pack so you can test now and in the morning. LOL. My LMP was 9/9/09 and I've known for weeks that I am pregnant so if you have regular cycles and your lmp was that long ago it shouldn't matter when you take the hpt b/c your hcg will be sky high.

So what did the test(s) say?  Are you happy with the result?  If you are nursing you know it is not unusual for your cycle to be out of whack...also with a baby that young who knows what is going on with AF!  Good luck.

Hi,

Took the test yesterday afternoon and it was negative.

This morning, after I had gone to the bathroom (of course), I was brushing my older daughter's hair and became extremely nauseous. It passed. Later mid to late morning, I was holding the baby, playing, and had a big wave of nausea hit. I put her down and ran to the bathroom. Threw up a little bit (sorry if tmi). I told my husband, and we have decided I will test again tomorrow morning.

Well, not BF because of surgery right after having baby. Yesterday, I was kind of disappointed...not that I want to pregnant again at my age...just I don't know... Well, this morning I started planning in ernest either a Disney or cruise vacation and feeling good about things and now I don't know what to think. So, I hope I get an answer tomorrow morning. I hate going to the doctor if I am not pregnant and it is just age. lol

Thanks so much for your answers and interest. It helps more than you can imagine.
