44 yo and TTC no. 7...might be pregnant?
Hi, I usually visit Tons of Kids board. I am 44 and have been trying to conceive our 7th child casually for over a year now. (Kids range in age from 22 to 8, five boys, one girl.) I'm wondering if any of you have experienced what I have this past month.
Upon seeing a sudden jump in basal temp on Oct. 12 (25 days ago), my husband and I went for it. Six days later I had red spotting which lasted three days; I think it was implantation bleeding. Last week I took a pregnancy test (not first morning either LOL) and it was negative. So 4 days ago (21 days after ovulation) I started a brown discharge with light cramping. Do you think I should retest? I remember having a brown mini-period when I conceived my last two children.
My periods slowed down to every three months last January and my last period was in August. It's so hard to tell now what my cycles are doing! My GYN nurse practitioner has tested me twice and says I am not in menopause, but she seems totally unsupportive of the fact that I do not use birth control and would be happy with being pregnant. Obviously I am reluctant to call her. If I do get pregnant, I am not using her for OB care.
