At 20 months my DD skin tested pos for an oat allergy. She hadnt had a reaction but on Dr's advice we removed it from her diet. At 3.5 both RAST & skin tests said no more allergy. We started to let her have oats again- cheerios. If she had a handful sometimes she would vomit sometimes not. If I give her multigrain cheerios she does fine, regular cheerios not.
DD tested neg for milk at 20 months, but pos at 3.5, neg at 4. We slowly reintroduced small amounts at a time. At first she could handle one yobaby drinkable yogurt a day anymore and she would have tummy aches and sometimes get small red spot near her mouth. Now 1.5 years later she can have a yogurt or two, and some chocolate milk or perhaps a lactose free bryers vanilla ice cream without problem. It took a long time to get to this point.
She tested pos to soy at 20 months and we removed it from her diet. We have tried allowing some soy lethicin and soy oil. She does ok with some plain goldfish crackers ( blue label) but if you let her have an oreo cookie she will have d. for 3 days.
What I have learned is that DD has a VERY sensitive body. We have learned that it doesn't really matter what the test says we keep a close eye on everything that DD touches or consumes and it it gives her trouble we avoid it.
