So I had promised Dominic that after we got back from Italy he could get a hamster. So last Sunday we went and got a chinese dwarf hamster. She's really cute but tiny as all get out. (Samantha can hold her in one hand) Anyways, I can't even tell you what it's like watching him with her. He's like a proud little parent. He's so careful with her and concerned.

So Monday morning comes around and I have to get them ready to go to daycare. Dominic asks me who is going to watch his hamster. I said she'd be ok while we were gone and we'd see her when we got back. He looked at me horrified and said "But she's just a baby!" I reassured him that she would be fine and we checked her food, water and her blanket (yup blanket).

I'm so proud of him.

Aww, that is so sweet! I'm not a hamster fan, but I love rats and am thinking my DD, who's six, might be ready for one soon.

I like rats but I am so allergic! Guinea pigs are good too since they're fairly slow too but they make me itch.
