Hi and welcome to the board : )
At home I have a Kitchenaid blender. It has a puree button which I used during the beginning stages and a chop/blend button which was good for when DS got to chunkier food. We had an expensive Cuisinart that doubled as a food processor (the tops switched out but the bottom stayed the same) and the blender top broke so I had to go out and buy a new one too.
