I'm trying to find a narrow infant carseat.  I have a Graco Snap N Go, but the Chicco seat is slightly more narrow.  I've heard you CAN use the Chicco w/the Snap N Go, but you have to strap it in instead of snap it in...  I figured I'd go w/ a nicer stroller once baby is out of her carseat (which in the past they have stayed till 1 - they are typically small)

TIA!

P.S.  Anyone know of any narrow HBBs?

Hi Veronique ... welcome to the board!

Technically, you are supposed to use the strap for ALL carseats used with the Snap-N-Go stroller.  Some carseats will actually 'snap' onto the bar, but the directions in the manual clearly state that those seats still must be strapped on to be safe.  You can view the manual here (click on 'instruction manual' below the pic of the stroller):  http://www.babytrend.com/strollers_snap-n-go/1305.html

I highly recommend you visit the Car Seat Board here at iVillage.  The gals over there can give you the best advice regarding car seats.  They will have more details about the Chicco fitting onto a Snap-N-Go and also be able to give you great recommendations on a narrow HBB.  Someone will likely have specific measurements as well as how a certain seat fits in certain vehicles and/or with other seats in the vehicle.  Not that I don't want to help you here ... I certainly can if you would rather stay  ... I just know they have all that info 'at the ready' and can give you much more specific help.  Check them out!

Good luck!  :O)

Yes- that's a GREAT board - I'm over there all the time.  Friends call me a car seat nut, LOL...  there's not a lot of discussions on strollers, however.

Yes... there used to be several narrow HBBs, but they've all since been discontinued...I was just checking all around...

Thanks for the info on the snapN go - I didn't realize they were all supposed to be strapped in!
