Our little girl is due on 11/18 and we still haven't decided on how to spell Madeline/Madelyn or on her middle name.  We've gone over a lot of Madeline spellings and these are mine and DH's favs.  Other things to consider:

Sibs are Charlotte Marie and Calvin Alexander.

Middle name is after my sister Georgina. And, possibly adding the "-ann" part of my name to make it sound like George-ana (but not sure how to spelli it). DH's grandfather's name was also George.

Our last name is really short.

Thanks for voting and any other advice you post.  I feel like I might be picking out of a hat at the hospital at this rate. :)

Salliann

Mom to Charlotte Marie 1/27/05, Calvin Alexander 5/21/06 and Baby Girl due 11/18/09

I would say Madalyn as 'mad-a-linn' and Madeline as 'mad-a-line' so it depends on which pronunciation you're looking for.

I love love love Madeline Georgia! That's definitely my favorite of your spelling choices, and it's one of the prettiest combinations I've seen in a long time!

I like Madeline because it's a more classic spelling, but as PP pointed out, people pronounce that 2 different ways. Some people will say "Line" (like the word line) and some will say "Lynn." If you want the Lynn pronunciation and correcting people would get on your nerves, I'd say spell it Madelyn. I also like Madalyn (you've probably already ruled that out though).

If you use the spelling Georgeanna, some people will pronounce it Jor-jee-Anna or Jor-jee-na or Jor-jan-na. Georganna - I think most people will pronounce it Jor-jan-na.

If you use "ana" spelling, some will say "anna" and some will say "ah-na."

All of the names and spellings you're considering are gorgeous though.

I voted for Madelyn Georgia for simplicity. If you want classic, I'd say Madeline Georgia. Good luck!
