Eesh. Well, my mom has bought Kyan lots of stuff, but I've bought NOTHING. Nothing for Jaben, nothing for Kyan, nothing for nobody. I've got ideas, but for some reason I just haven't gotten around to it yet. This is not good.
I am almost done this year but I must say normally I havent even started by now lol I was just afraid of putting this year off because of being in hospital on the 21st lol.
We don't have siblings and our parents don't want stuff, so it's easy for us. Essentially I only really shop for 3 people. I will get "something" for our parents but they really don't seem to care. I just can't get into the whole "I must buy gifts for everyone" thing that seems to prevail at this time of year. I look at my extended family and they all have clutter issues, so the last thing I'd do is contribute to it.
In both our families we only by for our own families we dont do the buy for everyone either. lol like you I know a ton of pack rats lol. I do not collect anything I dont like to dust lol.
My dh and I buy for the kids and each other first year we were together we bought each other big items but then started a great new thing after we got married first year we bought a house 2nd year we bought a big tv lol his choice he was right tho we needed a bigger tv. 2nd year we got what I wanted which was a new dinning room set table and chairs this year we decided to wait until spring after I go back to work but we are getting a lap top so we can get rid of the desk in the living room.
