I just wondered if there are any other mums with clingy little one's?!My son is 16 months old and is fine with people he's familiar with,he even stays at his grandma's overnight and never moans at all.not even for milk whereas with me he breastfeeds throughout the night (he doesnt sleep through for me but does for grandma!typical!)but not between 10am and 5pm since he's not really bothered then.
i could never leave him in a creche or anything though, not even at the playgroup i've been going to since feb 04 where he knows everyone!he wont even let me go to the toilet on my own when we are at playgroup!luckily,his grandparrents have him anytime so i dont need to leave him anywhere-which im glad about because i could never leave him to cry somewhere anyway.
im not too worried about it,but im hoping he'll be ok in a few years when he goes to school!i'm not going to force him to stay anywhere though because i worry he might think i'm just leaving him there and not coming back! it would just be nice to hear from any mums in the same situation so i know im not the only one!also,the mums i seem to know seem stricter than me (or im probably too soft!) and just say "you'll have a problem when he's got to go to school" or "you should just leave him,he'll soon get used to it after crying for a while" etc.
would be nice to hear from other mums who understand!
