No epidural and you got through it! Yay! I did the same thing, but it was because I never wanted an epidural in the first place. Sorry to hear that it was too late by time you wanted one. I went through the birth of my daughter with pain meds, that just made me feel all delusional. They helped a lot between contractions, but not at all during. Your baby was so big! My daughter, Clara, who is now almost three weeks old, was 7# 10oz and 19 1/2 inches long...so deffintitely a good sized baby, but nothing like a 9 pounder! I have to completely and totally agree with you though, the pain was so intense, but once you have that amazing little person in your arms, the pain doesn't matter and you almost forget.
