I was also living abroad with a small child who I wanted to learn to read and write in English. Most educational material was aimed at school age children so what I would do was bring stuff back with me when I’d go visit my family for his age group. Perhaps you could have your family mail you some books, or have you checked online for educational material you could order?
My other idea, which would take some time, would be making homemade, flash-cards in Swedish to start them off with.
