Looks like everyone's playing peek-a-boo here lately. Lots of readers and not so many posters. Including me. I'm so sorry to be AWOL this summer. It's been a rough one w/ my mother being in the hospital, then a nursing home and now back in the hospital (she should be out soon).

Anyway... I know you're out there. Haha... you can see how many times a post has been read if you click the outline view and the most recent posts have gotten over 50 views each which means there are a lot of us out here reading the board. I'd love to hear from *everyone* --- if you're reading this post, please give a hello back! :o) Humor me... I'm easily amused.

Hellooooo!!!!!!!!

Quick "hi", Laurie.  Just to keep you amused......

Hope your Mom is feeling better.  I think I'd seen on Facebook (or maybe here) that she'd been ill.  I haven't a clue about any details though.  Sorry.  I've been busy too.  On vacation this week - Nickolas' daycare is closed this week.  So, we're hanging out together.  Keeping Eric out the odd day as well.  My hubby is reading this right now, so I can't talk about him!  Hahaha!

Anyway, must run.  I'm very tired, and Nickolas and I are off to Canada's Wonderland tomorrow (amusement park), so must have my wits about me!  :-)

Cheers.

Jules

Hi, Julie. Thanks for replying... you're the only 1 out of 16 who did.

Does Nickolas go to a private daycare? I've never heard of one closing for a week. Hope you're enjoying the time with the boys today at the amusement park. Are you a roller coaster type of girl or not? I love 'em!

I'm here.  I am very busy in the middle of a 7 hour move.  We just got home from our second trip up north to move a truckload of stuff and we still don't have it all moved.  Uhaul did not have a big truck anywhere in the area so we took what we could get and we used a 17 foot truck from an hour away.  So far we have used a 26 foot truckload and a 17 foot truckload plus my van and my mom's car.  If we would have had the 26 foot truck we would have made it.  Now we have to make another trip to get the rest.  If I would have had more than a 2 week notice that I could move I would have been able to sort and purge more stuff.  Now the hard part comes in finding everything and finding homes for it.  It is so weird living in the house I grew up in and having the master bedroom as my room.  Now I need to find the boxes of school supplies before Tuesday.

The 3 younger ones had to meet Paul's live in last weekend.  They just think she is so wonderful.  All I heard last Sunday was Kathy did this and Kathy did that.  If they only knew what I know about her and their father.  I may get to meet her this Monday if she went with him to his parents.  He has Jonathan and Valerie at his parents house for the holiday weekend.  Roni ended up with croup last night and I did not have one of her meds with me as she hasn't needed it since April, so we felt I better not leave her up there.  I think it was triggered by all the dust of moving things around.  She was at a friend's house all day with Valerie and was fine even when she was dropped off at dinner time.  I did some sweeping and vacuuming after we got the truck loaded.

Hi, Barb!

Two weeks to pack and move isn't much notice, but I'm sure it's better than having to hang around for a longer period of time in limbo. I can only imagine how hard it was to hear about how great Kathy is, but glad to hear you didn't share what you know with the kids. They'll have plenty of time to realize the details as they get older on their own w/o you filling them in, I'm sure. Kids are a lot more observant than many give them credit.

I'm just lamenting the fact that there are A LOT of people reading the posts and practically nobody posting. As of this morning, this thread has 72 views which means it's been opened that many times. The post below about the 11yo w/ hemangioma has 60 views and only my reply. That's a lot of people looking at posts! I know everyone's busy... heck, I'm busy, too, but I'd hate to see the board close for lack of posting. I know it has the traffic. I was hoping at least a handful of those who haven't posted here before would post a hello, but no such luck.
