Hi - I'm not a frequent visitor here, but I had a question I thought someone here could help me with. How often should you change silicone nipples? I am using Pigeon Peristaltic nipples (not sure if Pigeon is a brand you get in the US) and I've used them for about 6 months. They still <look> fine, is there any need to replace them? My DS is down to 2-3 bottles a day, so I would probably use each nipple every 2nd day.
I'm not sure how long you should use them before replacing. Does the box say? Personally, I would use them as long as they were in good shape. Since they are all one piece (unlike a pacifier), I wouldn't think they could break apart without showing obvious signs of wear and tear before hand. :)
In my experience I would change them when I noticed the hole in the nipple becoming warped or larger. Aside from that I would continue using them. Hope that helps! :)
I changed our according to my lo and how fast he was drinking his milk.. around 3 months i changed them.. and then again at 6 months.. at 6 months we got the veriable kind so we won't need to change them again..
