I currently use Playtex Ventaire. I don't like them. They leak sometimes. There are 6 parts to wash. My walmart only has slow nipples, which are too slow; and fast nipples, which are too fast. And I can't use them in a bottle warmer for BM.

I want a simple, wide-mouth plastic bottle for minimum cost that is BPA free and reasonably priced.

I read the Baby Bottle Review post but all but one of those bottles has many pieces and the one that doesn't (Born Free) is really expensive.

What to do???

THX~

Well the easiest bottle to use are playtex drop in's but you can't warm them up in a bottle warmer.. with that being said to warm a bottle all you need to do is run under hot water or place in a cup of hot water.. it does not need to get hot just take the chill off. I think people thing you need to really heat up bottles and that is not the case..

I have born free ,yes they were expensive but were worth every penny.. you can get them on sale at toys R us.. they always have them on sale but yes they do cost a bit of money..   the parts are also interchangeble for when you want to use a sippy cup later on..

my baby  had colic.. i have to say i love them.. I used to use the playtex drop in' the venair, the nubby and they all gave my baby gas.. once i started to use the born free colic was almost gone and my son actually slept at night.  No air bubbles.. yes it does have an extra peice to wash but you can put it in dish washer.. and it only take like 5 min to wash the bottles with Dawn liquid soap and hot water.

one more reason I love these bottles are the small 5 oz ones actually hold 8 oz.. if you top it off.  and i do that all the time so i don't have to carry 4 bottles around when i go out.  I got the 5 oz three pack nd the 9 oz pack..  and we love them.. Oh the best best part was my son was holding this bottle at 3 months of age.. because of the shape.. when he was only taking 2 oz at a time he could hold it while laying on his boppy pillow and drink his bottle.  now he is pro at holding his bottle.. sorry if i sound pushie but i think they are worth the money  and BPS free

No, you weren't pushy at all. If a momma loves her bottles, I wanna hear about it!

I don't want to use a Playtex Drop-in b/c I am pretty conscious about my imprint on the environment; at least I try to be. I don't see the since in creating all that waste, JMO. I don't care if anyone else does it, it's just not for me.

I love my bottle warmer and don't want to have to hang around a running faucet waiting for a bottle to warm. I feel I would be wasting water (minimal of course) but my baby has got one good set of lungs and she wants her bottle NOW! LOL! But, i just really love my warmer. So, having a bottle that I can use in a warmer is a must on my list. Also, I did put a Ventaire bottle in a glass of hot water...the formula leaked out into it. Not sure how or why. My LO also like hot, hot milk. She screams if it below 98 degrees.

I am lucky b/c she doesn't have colic, but our next might so I would like a bottle that is good at reducing gas. I do hate parts but realize some are necessary. So, the fewer the better.

A 5oz bottle holding 8oz ROCKS! I am totally up for that.

I really appreciate your post...all good points to think about.
