When Breadwinner is Mom

Hi everyone

I was so happy to find this message board! I am special ed teacher and a mother of 2 boys, ages 4 and five. Just recently my DH chose to be a stay at home dad. There are lots of reasons for this (us exhausted, house trashed, eating out 3 x a wk cuz were too tired to cook) but the main one being that his paycheck and the day care paycheck were just aboout equal so we decided, what is the point of this, lol. Also the whole family has been on my insurance forever so theres no problem there.

My Dh has done a fantastic job at getting the house in order and involving our boys in meaningful/educational activities-library, art projects ect and I am loving this lifestyle change so far. He is a much better cook than me anyway-blush.

I am hoping this board gets to be more active and am even willing to try to CL it though I have never done anything like that before. Look forward to talking to all of you.

HI and WELCOME!!!

Go for being the CL!!!  You get the express youself package for free if you become a CL...so it's a nice incentive.  Post some more and then fill out the application.  The board I became CL of was really quiet while it didn't have a CL but lots of potential...like this one.

I have been around here for a while...back when I was the breadwinner w/ H staying at home w/ our DS.  Now H is gone so I do it all...I guess that still makes me the breadwinner.

I did write and offer to CL but did not get a response more. Maybe if I work on posting more I can offer again. Look forward to chatting with everyone. Kate your son Raymond is adorable! I will have to see if DH can help me post pics of my boys, I am not too computer savvy by myself.
