Breastfeeding/Lactation Consultant

Hi there

We have good friends who had a baby a few weeks after us who is special needs and can only take BM through her Gtube - her mama has asked that I donate EBM to her and send it to her states away - I am only to happy to do this but wanted to hear from you all about how best to go about it and mail it.

specifically here are my questions

I am not eating dairy, soy, or nuts since my little guy is sensitive - and that is part of why she chose me since her little one actually gets bloody poop if she has this - I have not so far been cautious about say eating things made in facitilies with nuts etc - should I be that careful?

we have a 2 kid 2 job no daycare family - so we work lots of nights and weekends and I rarely pump for my DS - how do you suggest given these crazy circumstances I set up a pumping schedule that can work?

Does baby do any long sleep stretches that you could pump during? Do you have any sort of 'hands-free' pumping set up?

 

Do I need to do nything when I ship with dry ice (ie notify them or fill our special forms or anything?)

I never used dry ice (or regular ice or frozen ice packs when I shipped milk (summer or winter).

Nor did I use it when I moved from FL to WY in the summer (4 days of driving).
