The Radian is allowed to touch the back of the front seat as long as the vehicle manual doesn't prohibit it. Some newer vehicles have advanced airbags, and due to the sensors in the seats, car seats are not allowed to touch.
As for where to tether to, I don't know that vehicle specifically. You could post pics of the underside of the front passenger seat so we can try to find something. You could also ask on that other board I told you about on Facebook. ;-)
The Radian is typically very reclined, and often there isn't much you can do about it because of that darn rear-facing foot. You can try pushing down as hard as you can where her feet would be while installing to get it more upright, but usually it won't sit as upright as other convertible seats.
She looks happy and comfy in her new seat!
