My son Vincent just turned one and was diagnosed with Hypotonia from a Neuro. I made and appt with his pediatrician to see what she had to say. She hasn't been Pro Active when it comes to my son. I told her what the Neuro said because she hadn't got any paper work back and she looked at her notes and said" I thought he had IUGR"? No thats what the doctor delivering said to me because he couldn't explain to me why he was small 4lbs & 7ozs (poor care from his office). She evaluated him and said She felt that he had it in his trunk and that will just blast his him with more P.T. Needless to say she went on vacation and we didn't book an appt to talk about more P.T.
Vincent has been seeing a P.T for his Torticollis since January 09 and he was evaluated and accepted with Early Intervention. He is scheduled 12/8 for his MRI and not sure what to do now because his P.T comes to our house 1 day a week for 30-45 Minutes. Is this enough or does he need more?? and more of what?
Vincent can rollover both ways, he can lay on his belly and get up on his elbows and scoot his Knees under is belly but then rollsover to his back. I give him cookies and he feeds himself, when he's sitting in his stroller he pulls himself to the tray and holds on. He can sit for seconds then falls to the side, he loves to stand and he babbles a lot. He does arch his back a lot when he's laying down.
