We are also in Dallas. Neiman's and JC Penney do lots of photo shoots here, so she may well have submitted him for those jobs. The two bigger agencies here are the Campbell Agency (we are with them and love them) and the Kim Dawson Agency. I am not such an expert in the modeling world here that I know about too many others... I have also heard of The Clutts Agency which I think is smaller but also legit. Not to say that your current agent isn't legit; do you feel comfortable saying who it is? (I'm no expert, I might have heard of her, maybe not.)
As far as submitting to Wilhelmina, find out which office they want to submit him to. I believe their NYC branch is legit, and maybe others, but I have heard that they sell their name... I don't know that signing with them would help all that much unless you were planning on moving to NYC?? Did she say why is she submitting him to Wilhelmina? Most print modeling is done on a local basis. If she wants a video then maybe it is for acting? Would you be willing to relocate for an acting job?
Modeling is funny... it seems like the more you want to hurry up, the longer you have to wait. Sometimes bookings come one after another, sometimes there are months inbetween them. It also depends on your son's height... clothing samples come in certain sizes and the kids whose height fits those sizes are most in demand. I have a daughter so I'm not sure what the most-used sizes for boys are. Maybe 2T, 4, 6 and 12?? Anyone know?
Hang in there and good luck!
