It doesn't seem to me that a circ'd penis would be easier to clean, but since that seems to be a reason for many to do so...it's just another example of how LAZY Americans are. How selfish is the parent that chooses surgery just to make their life "easier"?

It isn't easier to clean. Roll an apple or potato in the dirt, then peel them and do the same and see which collects the most dirt. Even though urine is considered sterile as it leaves the body there is really no reason for an intact male to not retract enough to expose the meatus just as the circed penis so the urine excuse is phoney either way.

Like politicians, the proponents of RIC lie a lot, make up lame excuses that have no basis in fact. The secretions emitted from glands within the inner foreskin is a clear lanolin like substance designed to lubricate and sanitize the glans.  It is generally referred to as smegma which in Latin means soap and in Greek means to wash off or clean. (see below) There may be exceptions but basically the only time this lubricating and flush material could be remotely considered cheesy is when dead tissue is present during foreskin and glans separation. This discarded dead tissue joins with the smegma which serves as a catalyst in removing it to the outside and in so doing forms a semi solid product that can form many shapes and can become visibly as whitish with a so called cheesy texture. Which actually helps the separation process. Any modification what so ever of the original design takes away and like a math subtraction problem the result is always less. Less mobility, less sensitivity. less protection from clothing, deleterious substances, less injury to the penis and the mucous membrane lining of the vagina.

"Etymology:  New Latin, from Latin, detergent, soap, from Greek smēgma, from smēchein to wash off, clean
Date:  circa 1819
Results
circa 1819 the secretion of a sebaceous gland specifically the cheesy sebaceous matter that collects between the glans penis and the foreskin or around the clitoris and labia minora "

I personally disagree calling anything I have ever seen under a foreskin as being sebaceous. Sebaceous is defined as a fatty material  or made of tallow. I certainly have never produced any such substances nor seen any under the foreskins of hundreds of Army recruits during  short arm inspections for STD'S that resembled tallow. That is something I buy at the butcher shop, hang in trees in the winter time as supplement bird feed. Any of you ladies produced any bird feed recently?

Interesting! So basically smegma is to boys what vaginal discharge is to girls.

My mom makes bird feed out of bacon fat, peanut butter and bird seed.

Hi, bet your mom has some happy birds around. Protein, fat and carbohydrates all in one beak full, that's more balanced then most peoples diets.

Yes, vaginal secretions as well as those emitted by the inner and outer labia as well as the prepuce (clitoral hood) are basically for lubrication of those parts as is male smegma. In searching for excuses to circumcise this natural body function of both male and female has been made a nasty villian by those looking for an excuse aas well as those who believe this nonsense. Those simply parroting a misinformed myth most likely have never seen an intact penis or examined a female prepuce for that matter. If an infection is present there can be additional discharge from the vagina I suspect, I don't have one.

Just imagine how one's eyes would feel with no lubrication.  The lids are also lined with mucous membrane that has a built-in lubrication system. In the female the glands really speed up their production of lubrication when she becomes sexually aroused. During this period of time, blood rushes to the genitals, tissue swells thus literally squeezing the lubricating ducts. Males have some similar action but not nearly as pronounced. That is if they have a foreskin because the glans has no lubricating means and that is why the foreskin is so important. Keep in mind there is a decidedly  different part of the anatomy when mentioning the glans and glands. We have glands over a good part of our bodies but only one glans penis.

"I can assure you that few boys or men are going to complain about an extra 3 seconds handling their penis in the shower, if they happen to have a foreskin."

Ha ha! Thank you!!! So true!!! I think my dh LOVES his showers for that very reason, and he is uncirc'd. My baby boy is also intact. :)
