Sherry ~ I'm glad to see you're getting some help.  I hope the Zoloft works.  I'm not positive, but I think that takes about two weeks to start working???  Did they say anything about that?  That is one of the things April is taking, and it's working good for her depression.  It's her anxiety that is still terrible.  Let us  know how it works for you.

Christilynn ~ The vacuum trick is amazing.  Works like a charm most of the time.  I made a cd like you suggested - sometimes we need to use the real vacuum to get him calmed down, then we can switch to the cd.

Finally! I finished my paper!

I had a 10 paged paper that was due today, and I have spent the last week doing it. I'm normally a last minute kind of girl, but I have been realizing that that just isn't an option anymore - I have to start things early because it's going to take me at least twice as long to get anything done these days! With all of the research, charts, and maps, my 10 paged paper turned out to be 20 pages - so that was pretty cool. My DH has been coming home from his jobs exhausted and then taking care of the baby all night so I could get it done. He's the best (and he's currently deep, deep in dreamland). Now I'm on baby duty so he can get done his work that's been piling up. Unfortunately, he won't have that much time this weekend since my in laws are coming for the weekend, and DH and I are going to dump them with the baby while we go wine tasting for my birthday on Saturday. Luckily, it's Columbus Day weekend, and we both have Monday off!

Sherry - has the medication been working? I'm so sorry you have been having such a rough time. Did this happen with your other kids? I hope you are getting the rest you need. We're always here to talk or complain to!

Brad - I'm thrilled the vacuum trick worked for you - isn't it great? Before we had Will, we saw friends of ours do it, and we couldn't believe that their son could sleep through so much noise. There he was, snoring away, while we were all yelling because we couldn't hear each other! Hopefully the vacuum trick is giving you and April some much needed rest. You said her depression is better - is she taking anything for her anxiety? How about going to talk to someone? That might make her feel better. I hope she's enjoying the baby more than she was before. How are you holding up?

Ok - I'm going to attach some new pictures of Will - I hope to hear from you guys soon!

Brad, I started the "starter" pack on Tuesday.  I started on 25 and then go up to 50 next week.  She told me if I didn't think it was working in two days to up it to 50.  And, if that didn't work to go ahead and call before my 2 week f/u.  My mood has been lifted since starting it...  I won't say it is perfect, but I have had some relief.

Christilynn, No, it didn't really happen with DS #1 at all, and DS #2 it only happened for 3 weeks and then when I made the decision to stop bf'ing, all was great.  It was that quick...

Awesome on finishing your paper!  Cute pics!

Averi had her 2 month yesterday with shots...  And she's been running a low grade temp today due to the shots I'm pretty sure...  She's already 11 lbs 3 oz!!!  She's 90% for weight and 95% for height!!!  Her head is at 50%.  She might be a little chubby baby after all!!!  My babies are usually very chubby and then skinny kids...

Okay, this may be quick. Had to use the vacuum to get Sam to sleep. I was finally able to turn it off (it was starting to drive me nuts), and he's on the verge of waking up.

Christilynn ~ I am impressed with you taking classes on top of everything else. Congratulations on getting the paper done. Thanks for posting the pics - he is very cute! Hope you had a great birthday!!! April is taking a couple things for anxiety. She has to take quite a bit in order to make it work sometimes - the other times when the anxiety is bad, it doesn't work at all. We just had her 6 week follow up appt with the OB, and she wants April to see a psychiatrist - that is a week from this monday. She is also seeing a counselor. Things are really not getting any better yet.

Sherry ~ I am so glad to hear the medication is helping. Hopefully you find the right dose to make it go away. Congrats on the chubby baby! We've got one of those too. At his one week checkup, he was in the 50th percentile. We took him in last week to see why he cries so much, and he weighed 13 lbs, 10 oz, which is 95%. He's got the double chin and all! They said he seems fine. He does have thrush, so we're torturing him with squirting that stuff in his mouth 4 times a day.

April's great aunt died, and the funeral was today. We were going to go (it is 2 hours away) but she was so dead tired this am that she couldn't go - the anxiety was bad today too. Sam's sleep/eating patterns have not altered at all yet. Still eats every 2-3 hours, even at night. We are so looking forward to having those lengthen out! When he's fussy, and we have to let him sleep in his swing, he will sometimes go 3+ hours before needing to eat. Actually, right now, he's in the swing and it's been 3.75 hours. Uh oh, just started crying. I jinxed myself. Gotta go...

Hope everyone is doing great. I miss talking more frequently, but it's just so hard to find the time anymore!
