Hi Ladies!

OK so I have been living the clean life TTC...  I 've just finished my clomid cycle and am on the 2ww...   BUT

I am disappointed in myself right now because I allowed myself to have 2 glasses of wine yesterday...  There is some stuff going on in my family that is upsetting and I really wanted a glass of wine to relax..  I kept thinking, people in Europe drink wine all of the time including when they are pregnant!

Anyway...feeling bad and I just want your opinion whether or not this will harm my chances of conceiving this month... Would I misscarry b/c of that?  Have any of you done the same or had the occassional drink?  I'm not going to going forward but...I don't know, feeling really bad right now!

Please drop me a line

thanks..

hugs to you all

(((HUGS))) I think you'll be fine.  There are lots of people who don't know they're pregnant yet & have a couple drinks & have perfectly normal babies.  I doubt 2 glasses would have much of an effect especially since early on, the baby isn't attached via umbilical cord & is getting his/her nutrients through the yolk sac.  HTH!

Thank you so much for your email ...  I know I probably sound so paranoid..but actually, it is not that I am worried about hurting my potential/hopeful baby...it is that having a couple of drinks could cause me to miscarry or something?  I'm over 35 as it is so I feel as though I need to be really careful...

Anyway... I'm not going to worry anymore and just continue with my clean living and hopefully will have some good news soon!

thanks again, take care..

(((HUGS))) I'm sure that you'll be fine.  It was probably better for you to be able to relax and reduce some stress.

Hi! I'd like to say that I think that in the case of having one glass of wine, especially in later months of pregnancy is okay, as long as there are no complications otherwise.

In my case, when I was 24, I got pregnant and didn't know for two months. I went about my business, partying it up and going to all-night drinking parties!

By the time I found out, it was too late. I was miscarrying, and to this day, I blame all the alcohol I consumed at the time.

Bottom line, just be careful and safe. :)
