So here is my story..... My husband and I got married on January 10, 2009 and just a few weeks after our honeymoon we found out that we were pregnant with our first child. This was a huge surprise but we were excited even though our family was starting before we were ready. A few weeks into the pregnancy my Dr. diagnosed me with a minor bicornate uterus but he said that everything looked okay...at week 13 we went for a routine ultrasound and the baby had no heartbeat. I had a DNC on March 25. After the surgery my Dr confirmed that while my bicornate was very minor the baby had implanted on that one weak spot in my uterus. My husband and I started trying to conceive immediately and after 7 months of no luck we started asking questions. My doctor ran some blood work in October and found that I had poor egg quality for that month and he seems to think that poor egg quality could be the reason that I have not conceived as of yet. We will be trying Clomid for the first time (days 5-9) in November. My cycles are like clockwork...day 28 at 9:00am...so we know that I am ovulating and I did get pregnant before so I have not lost all hope. Has anyone been told that they had poor egg quality and Clomid helped you? I can really use some good news!

hi:

clomid does not contribute to ur quality of the egg..the egg quality is completely depending on your genes, what you eat, your physicall condition etc....

although there is really little you can do to improve your egg quality:you sould try  below suggestions to improve it...all are on the internet

  • moderate exerice
  • health eating:no sugar,salt,flour etc....all whole grain stuff
  • lots of vegetables/fruits
  • take prenatal vitamins...
  • ask your doc. if u have to take extra folic acid due to your previous condition
  • take DHA supplement
  • make sure u get enough calcium/vitamin d/vitamin e via prenatal vitamins
  • search "how increase egg quality" on the google

baby dust....

Welcome Aliki!

Well most of my story is in my siggie but my dh and i had been trying to concieve for a year.  I have terrible pcos and was told i would never concieve without meds and if i did, i had chances of a mc because of poor egg quality.  Clomid has helped many many ppl with egg quality because it helps you ovulate sooner .  If you're worried abt egg qualtiy, ask your doctor about baby aspirin, it helps increase blood flow to the uterus and ovaries and can help with the quality of your egg and linig of uterus.  HTH!
