She's babbling about the fact that a misd. theft charge after two felony convictions can up that theft to a felony.  In a 3-strike state, that last charge can get you life.

I remember the case of a man who got life for stealing a Snickers bar.  And I'm sure there are more.

WOW, incredible, I googled it and found this.

According to this article it was 16 years, not life, but that is STILL ridciculous. Especially when compared to the other crimes in the article.

The man that got life for a Snickers bar was in California.

Doesn't surprise me in the least that a man from my state got 16 years for the same thing.

Yes, I'm in Cali, and a Highway Patrolman, the next county over, who molested two girls and had child pronography, just got 300days. That is misdomeanor term.
