Hello everyone,

I have not posted here in a long time. My son is 6.5yo, and has low muscle tone and dyspraxia, with global motor delays. At this point they are mild, and he is functioning in a regular 1st grade classroom, doing very well, still with private therapies and some IEP services.

My son has recently tested positive for lyme disease and at lease 2 co-infections. His lyme specialist doctor believes that Jonah's dev delays could all be related to chronic lyme disease. I have now read of at least one other child who had treatment for lyme and his dd's, sensory issues, anxiety, all improved.  Until now, despite 6 years of research and support boards, I have never heard of this connection being made. Just wondering if anyone else out there has a kid with lyme disease, or has heard of a connection to developmental delays. I also read that ADHD and even autism can have its roots in lyme.

Thanks,

Dara
