We decided on a donor and turns out we're at the same place in our cycle. The coordinator called and said I'm to start BCP today and once she confirms with the donor she'll get me a timeline. Does this mean we're going already or do we do this for the cycle and then transfer next cycle? I should have asked but was surprised to hear we're already synched.....I'm excited!

p.s. can anyone tell me why we take bcp?

You take BCP so your cycles can be synced and they can control when you start the next phase. It also helps to suppress your natural cycle. I don't know how long you'll be on BCP before starting the next meds since everyone is different and it depends on your particular protocol and timing, but just call your Dr. and ask the nurse! You're paying a lot of money for this, so don't be afraid to call and ask WHENEVER you have a question!
