We have the Fisher Price "Royal Potty." It's supposed to have sound effects, but I never installed the batteries, because I figured the sound would frighten her. It's also kind of big, and geared toward older babies. DD is finally growing into it at about 15 months, her feet just now touch the ground. The things I like are that the seat is really substantial, and has armrests, so she's really secure in it, and could sit on it well by herself, even when she was still just learning to sit. I had to still be right there in case she fell over, but she could practice sitting really easily. It's supposed to detach from the legs to go on top of the toilet seat, but I've found it's really slippery, like it doesn't fit very well, so I just use it on the floor with its built in pot, and it works fine. DD gets plenty of real potty practice when we're out and about, and also having a separate potty means we can "practice" together. If I had to choose again, I think I'd choose something friendlier for a smaller baby, where the feet can touch the ground sooner. With the Royal Potty I've had to hold DD's feet so they aren't dangling to help with BMs. HTH!
