Hey I haven't been very active here lately and I'm sorry but if you can help me I'd appreciate it. My situation is already posted on the BF board. Here's the link. TIA!

You are thinker, organizer, peacekeeper, and leader all in one. You have a power to command attention and people listen to you. However, you are often so concerned about not hurting others' feelings that you don't tell them what they need to hear and this gets you both into trouble. But you always have loyal friends to help you out.

I would NOT wean . Just my opinion. I would make him go through all the trouble and put it off as long as I can. The baby has had little to no contact with this man. Think about how traumatic weaning and going away with someone is going to affect him in this short period of time. I think it will cause way more problems than not. I would stall stall stall. I would call every lawyer under the sun and see what they can do... there is usually some protection out there for nursing mothers and seperation. I don't know what the Ohio laws are.

Thank you (and everyone) for your reply. I've actually ended up doing just as you said. I sent a reply for the requested May visit that spelled out the terms for our older DS, and included this sentence: "As we've discussed, DS2 has different daily, familial and legal circumstances than DS1 and does not go with you for visits. If you wish to discuss this further let me know." I haven't heard anything back... I know the snail mail version had to have gotten there early last week and the certified version is sitting in the post office because he hasn't/won't pick it up.

I'm still nursing as often as my little guy wants (barring the fact that I can't nurse and drive LOL) and cosleeping etc. I'll just have to wait and see what their next move is... I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again!
Melissa
